PIPE

Have you ever found a pipe sticking up out of the ground; the kind with a brightly painted red or blue wheel on the top to turn the water off and on with?  Yes. I'm sure you have.  But have you ever found one that appears to serve no purpose; just a pipe jutting out of the ground with no buildings or anything else surrounding it?  If you have, count yourself lucky.  These are very special pipes.  

They only work one day out of the month.  They will only work on the day that is double the month's number.  For example, if you go to the pipe in January, it will only work on the first of the month.  In February, you will need to use the pipe on the fourth of the month, and the sixth for March, and so forth.  You need to visit the pipe at sunset when the light of the setting sun glints of the old and rusted metal of the pipe.  Take a clear glass bottle with you when you go.  I cannot stress the importance of this enough. Do not bring a plastic container and more importantly, do not bring a colored glass bottle.  

When you turn the handle of the pipe, take careful note of the color of the liquid that fills your bottle.  If the liquid is clear, you may keep this liquid to drink. It is the only liquid you can do this with.    If you receive a bottle of brightly colored liquid, do not drink it.  Keep it with you, on your person at all times.  These bottles have seemingly random effects.  It is unknown how the unusual effects of the liquid are determined.  Effects of possessing one of these have included, limited x-ray vision, increased stamina and other physical characteristics. Telepathy and other psychic abilities have also been observed.  These abilities will only manifest themselves on the day you visited the pipe.  But you must continue to keep your bottle on your person at all times.  Failing to do so will cause the liquid to lose its supernatural properties forever.

If you have received a bottle of clear liquid, this special drink will grant you incredible luck and insight.  Like the brightly colored liquid, the special properties of this drink only manifest on the day the liquid was obtained.  At the dawn of that day, you must take a single sip of the clear liquid and immediately store the bottle away in a safe dark place.  Do not fail to observe this ritual.  If you do, the  liquid loses its incredible properties forever and for the next year, you will suffer a terrible streak of bad luck.

If, however, you have gotten a bottle of black liquid from the pipe, do not drink nor keep it.  Wait until the sun sets and immediately bury the bottle in the earth under the faucet of the pipe.  The consequences for failing to do this cannot be adequately described.

Finally, pay no heed to rumors of a white liquid being received from one of these pipes.  Additionally, ignore the temptation to obtain more than one bottle of the colorful fluids.  No good can come from either of these actions.
